S Stands For Survey

L Stands For Lift & Look
Once you’ve surveyed the room, you need to check it more thoroughly. You’ll need to go in for a closer look, and you’ll need to lift items in the room. Start by lifting the mattress and checking the box springs and sheets. You’ll also need to check under the furniture in the motel room. Pull any wall art from the wall and check behind it. Lift everything and look everywhere you can to make sure that the room doesn’t have
bedbugs.
E Stands For Elevate
Next, you’ll need to work to elevate your items in the room. You’re likely carrying luggage and other items. If this is the case, you don’t want to dump your belongings on the ground as this would let bedbugs climb inside. Instead, you should use the luggage rack. Doing so will keep your items off of the ground. You’ll also want to position the rack away from any walls. Taking this step will prevent bedbugs from climbing the nearby walls and entering your luggage.
E Stands For Examine
At some point, your vacation will end and you’ll have to return home. Although life is going to return to normal, you don’t want your vacation to end on a sour note. To prevent this from happening, make sure you’re not taking bedbugs home with you. Before learning, carefully examine your belongings to make sure
bedbugs are not hiding inside of them. Be cautious so you don’t take
bedbugs home with you.
P Stands For Place
Finally, you’ll want to place your items in the dryer when you return home. Crank the
heat up to the highest setting and let your clothes dry for at least 15 minutes. Exposing
bedbugs to extremely hot temperatures for at least 15 minutes will eliminate them. As a result, the
bedbugs will not be able to enter your home.
