A neighborhood in the northeast part of San Francisco adjacent to the Financial District, Russian Hill, and Chinatown is “Little Italy.” It has historically been the home to many Italian-American residents, mainly from Northern Italy. North Beach has many Italian restaurants, although many other races and ethnic groups currently reside in the neighborhood. North Beach is also an equivalent to Little Italy, so everyone can expect an abundance of restaurants that cooks traditional Italian goodies and family-run cafes. Mara’s is open well up until the evening so make sure to get your sweet treats on your way home.
